(Pflugerville, TX) on Thursday, local businessman and aerospace engineer George Hindman announced his good friend, and successful engineer and entrepreneur Patrick McGuinness was joining his campaign as finance chair.
McGuinness commented on the announcement stating, “I am proud to endorse my friend George Hindman for Congress in District 17; he’s the conservative warrior we need fighting for central Texas. I am supporting George’s campaign with a maximum financial donation, and I urge all Republicans in District 17 to support George with their vocal endorsement, financial support, and their votes.”
McGuinness lives in north Austin, and has been involved in many Republican campaigns and conservative causes across Texas and is a long-time donor to campaigns and the state and local Republican party. He has served as vice-chair of the Travis County Republican Party and is founder and President of the North Austin Republicans club.
Hindman commented on the announcement stating, “Before launching this campaign I wanted to ensure we’d have a coalition of Republicans, grassroots activists and donors across CD 17. Patrick’s support is a key part of what we need to win this race. He is very well respected across the district and his support will ensure we have the infrastructure to ensure victory in the Republican primary. We will have a well-funded campaign, and I’m grateful that Patrick is helping lead our team to ensure just that.”
Hindman is the owner of Keystone Aerospace, a small business devoted to advanced aerospace research and development. He is also a FAA certified commercial pilot and flight instructor as well as a registered professional engineer and inventor. George holds several patents in mobile computer architectures and wireless communication technologies. His current research involves deep space navigation using extrasolar planetary star systems.
