George has been a resident of Austin for over 25 years. George, his wife, son and newborn daughter live in the J.J. Seabrook neighborhood near the old Mueller airport. They can often be found in the park during "It's my Park" days and are volunteers for several ministries at St. Mary Cathedral.
George is the owner of Keystone Aerospace, a small business devoted to advanced aerospace research and development. He holds several patents in mobile computer architectures and wireless communication technologies. His current research covers deep space navigation. George previously taught astronauts and mission controllers at the NASA Johnson Space Center.
George holds a M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia. He registered as a professional engineer in 1996, is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and is also a FAA certified commercial pilot and flight instructor.
